RECORDING YOUR VIDEO.Double check before you start.
The following provides a check list of settings to assure a quality video recordings. 1. BACKGROUND Select or create a plain bright background, uncluttered and neat in appearance. If it's too plain, just arrange a colorful painting or flower arrangement. This will assure no distractions and place the focused attention on your presentation. 2. LIGHTING Provide adequate lighting; use soft light, diffuse light, and consistent light levels. A certain amount of contrast is necessary for lighting a subject, but avoid direct high-contrast lighting. For example, when recording a face lit by strong sunlight from the side, the facial features in the shadow can be lost on video. 3. CLOTHING Dress for success with a conservative tone. Wear clothing colors that complement your skin tone and are sufficiently different from the background and other overlapping objects. Avoid bright colors. 4. TRIPOD When possible, use a tripod or any other method to stablize your camera, when recording video. A tripod will help to keep the video camera still and improve the overall quality of the recorded video. This prevents your recorded video from being jittery. Your camera should be 2-3 feet in distance. 5. AUDIO SOUND. Depending on your type audio source, you'll need to test the distance in accordance with your voice and volume. If possible, secure a microphone to a stable position avoiding paper shuffling or tapping noises. |
